Jaclyn Kaufman

        Photography is a form of expression for many people. It allows a person to display their creativity and personality without directly communicating with someone. Expressing myself through photography and other forms of art is something that comes almost naturally to me. It has inspired me to want to work for a magazine when I’m older, to create spreads or take pictures to share with the public.

        Irving Penn is a famous photographer that has taken successful cover photos for Vogue and influences me. His images are appealing to me because they’re usually very sharp and focused like most of the photos viewers can see throughout my portfolio. My photographs are simple yet often-times appear to be very detailed from the subject matter in the shot. I enjoy taking pictures of things rather than people, therefore viewers should expect my photography to often be of landscapes or random objects.
